OWCN on Alert for San Mateo Spill

At 10:00 AM this morning, the California Office of Spill Prevention and Response placed the OWCN on alert because of a diesel spill from the boat lodged against the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge. No personnel have been deployed at this time, but recovery and transportation teams have been placed on alert and are ready to respond if the OWCN is activated.

OWCN member organizations in the area have been alerted to immediately report any contaminated animals they observe or receive to the UC Davis Wildlife Health Center staff.
