While checking out the news for today, I came across a San Francisco Chronicle article highlighting a study by PRBO. I’m always stoked to hear about the work and research going on at OWCN member organizations, so I thought I’d pass it along.
A study by PRBO made the news with its predictions as to how birds in California will adapt to changing climate conditions. According to the study as much as half of California could be occupied by new bird communities by 2070. To read more on study, here’s the link to the San Francisco Chronicle article I mentioned above: http://www.sfchron.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/09/02/MNBT19E450.DTL.
