Successful Recovery and Transportation Training in San Diego

Last Thursday and Friday we had our first 2011 Recovery and Transportation (R&T) Level 2 training at Hubbs Institute in San Diego, CA. We had a fun time with such an engaging group of people. It was attended by 25 people from various organizations and agencies, including SeaWorld San Diego, the California Wildlife Center, County of San Diego Department of Animal Services, San Diego Humane Society and SPCA, and Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center. This two-day training included an 8-hr HAZWOPER Refresher as well as specialized training on recovery techniques and handling of oiled wildlife. Our next R&T Level 2 training will be held in Arcata on July 30-31. Thanks to all who participated in this training.
