Reflecting on the value of wildlife rescue and rehabilitation during oil spills

I came across this video yesterday in which Dyan deNapoli speaks about her experiences as a penguin rehabilitator during the Treasure Oil Spill (South Africa, June 23, 2000).  As Dyan discusses, arguments about the value of rehabilitating oiled wildlife arise during many high profile oil spill responses.  In her talk, she presents compelling arguments about the success of rehabilitation efforts for oil-affected animals, and the value of these efforts for the animals, the environment, and the people involved.  – Emily
